CALUMS VA (which comes under ACICS accredited list of Schools) is not a real school which runs in the interest of students and I'll be surprised if at all VA branch be accredited by ACICS OR some national accrediting body (as this branch runs not in SYNC with its main branch - Anaheim CA, regarding payment policies, course registration policies etc..,) Eventhough its a non-profit school, it always run in unaccounted profits point of view: 1. By collecting late fees payments from students (saying that your student's payment transaction is being delayed by 1 day from the bank eventhough the student does the credit card authorization before the final payment deadline) 2. Moreover, recently they came up with new policy updates that everyone can register and pay the fees online instead of paper registration. But, once the students did the online registrations then they came back saying that everyone missed to submit the course registration hardcopies and hence we are adding $200 late fees (Just out of curiousity - Why would anyone submit hardcopies once you say that students are allowed to do online registrations. If the school wants hardcopies to be submitted as well besides registering in online then they have to convey it SPECIFICALLY. CALUMS VA website/students' portal don't even have registration reminders for the students like what they need to submit to school before the deadline, once the student logs in to portal). Just - Plain RIP oFF to the students. The whole CALUMS VA website is crappy (with name sake non-working links). Whenever there is some policy transition/change like this - instead of helping the students to get them out from the confused policies and financial burden, CALUMS staff run by management will just try to make money out of those opportunites - Big SCAMSTERS. 3. Adds unnecessary miscellaneous fees by saying student didn't respond within the time for the requested documents. 4. For every 3 months, CALUMS VA is coming up with new policy changes to RIP the students off. Initially, I thought that school is getting improved by changing the policies and startegies but later came to know that their main intentions behind the policy changes are to extract money out of students in different ways for every 3 months so that VA branch employees can thrive with D.C metro area salaries. There are a bunch of dissatisfied CALUMS VA students with CALUMS VA's continuous policy changes' fees SCAMS and I hope ACICS will take all the students' (Including dissatisfied students) feedback in considering accreditation for CALUMS. I hope only better schools who runs in the interests of students, market trends and who can make students successful in their career by helping them in their student journey should be allowed to run but not the ones who makes students' lives miserable by extorting fees from students.
